Patricia Viel

A merge between realism and abstract is what best describes Patricia Viel’s style of painting. Patricia first trained in Europe in the fine art of jewelry design. Following her passion for travel, Patricia moved to Montreal and then Vancouver where she worked with Canada’s most prestigious jewelry house, Henry Birks and Sons, as their lead designer.

Patricia first trained in Europe in the fine art of jewelry design. Following her
passion for travel, Patricia moved to Montreal and then Vancouver where she
worked with Canada’s most prestigious jewelry house, Henry Birks and Sons, as
their lead designer.
During her years as jewelry designer Patricia won 13 national and international
design awards: 7 De Beers Diamond Design awards, 3 International Pearl Design
awards and 3 International “Spectrum” Colored gemstone awards.
Patricia’s work in jewelry led her to her true passion of painting. Her mediums
range from oil to acrylics depending on the subject. Landscapes and portraits are
her preferred subjects. Her commissioned pieces can be found in private
collections in Europe and North America.
Her latest collection consists of studies of urban developments which hold the
viewer captive and stimulate the senses.
