City Night captures the luminous energy of Vancouver Harbour after dark, where architecture, water, and light merge into a vibrant urban atmosphere. Suggesting the layered density of the Vancouver waterscape, reflections stretch across the surface while glowing structures rise through mist-like color and shifting geometry.
Farahnaz Samari interprets the harbour as a living field of light and movement. Planes of color intersect with reflective surfaces, dissolving the boundaries between skyline, water, and structure. Boats and architectural fragments appear suspended within radiance, creating a sense of depth that is both spatial and emotional.
Rooted in the rhythm of Vancouver’s coastal nightscape, the work expresses the pulse, reflection, and quiet intensity of life along the waterfront after dusk.
