"Dog 1981" is a rare paper cutout and ink done in 1981 when Keith Haring was visiting a friend of his in Scottsdale, Arizona, and he gifted the piece to him. It was sold to the Vancouver Fine Art Gallery and asked to remain anonymous since he is a public figure.
The artwork does not come with a certificate from the foundation because it no longer exists.
It has a certificate from a well-known Forensic Handwriting Examiner Authentication and Grading Expert. As well as an appraisal and gallery COA will be provided at the point of sale.
