Amy Wang

Amy Wang is a contemporary Canadian artist. She was born in 1995 in South of China. Amy Wang studied art from a very young age, and her artistic background expanded into dance and music. Throughout her art career she has won art awards for top student in her school. The artist also had a successful solo show with sold out works. Amy gets her inspiration from nature and animals around her. When she sits in front of a blank canvas the subject matter comes to her and she floats with her inspiration into the unknowing fields.

Amy Wang works often maintain a delicate balance between realism and abstraction, also showcase a vivid palette of hues and tones. Her brush strokes and choice of color pallet inspires her to wonder into unexplained fields, and most importantly create a simplistic way to view her paintings.

Amy’s passion is for simplistic art that leaves you imaging what’s the message behind, for example like the mysterious cat in the shadows called "Incognito", or the endless fields of flowers.

Furthermore, Amy’s artistic style often includes a blend of traditional technique and modern fluidity. And her art makes you wonder off with her into the unexplained infinity of the mind and wonder about the message behind. She believes her unique and vast life experiences give her an extraordinary perspective that is reflected in her art.

Her practice includes oil, acrylic, and watercolour painting, as well as drawing.
