Juan Quevedo (b. 1952, Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian-born painter whose artistic journey bridges South America, Europe, and the United States. He began his formal art training at an early age at the Institute of Art in Lima, where he developed a strong foundation in drawing, composition, and color. Seeking deeper classical training, Quevedo later continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Art in Madrid, absorbing European artistic traditions and refining the technical precision that would become characteristic of his work.

In 1970, Quevedo immigrated to the United States, where a new environment and cultural landscape began to influence his evolving visual language. His works often reflect a dialogue between Latin American heritage and Western artistic sensibilities, blending expressive brushwork with atmospheric compositions. His subjects range from serene landscapes and emotive figurative pieces to poetic interpretations of memory, place, and identity.

Although Quevedo has maintained a relatively quiet market presence, his paintings and prints have appeared in North American auctions, and his works continue to circulate among private collectors.
