Jona Jisa is a Vancouver-based contemporary artist born in Calgary and raised in British Columbia. After earning a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from the University of British Columbia, he spent more than a decade traveling and living across Asia, Europe, Central America, and China—immersing himself in diverse cultures and environments that would later shape his artistic vision.

For over ten years, Jisa’s life unfolded through constant movement and exploration. These lived experiences—marked by contrast, discovery, and intensity—form the foundation of his creative language. Following global travel restrictions during the COVID era, he returned to Vancouver, where an unexpected pause allowed him to fully realize artistic ideas that had long existed but never found the time or space to materialize.

A lifelong art enthusiast and collector, Jisa draws inspiration from personal experience, global travel, and contemporary culture. His practice spans both physical and digital formats, embracing innovation without being confined to a single medium. His works explore perception, imagination, and identity through highly detailed, one-of-a-kind compositions.
